The Funding Strategy Statement (FSS) is the key document through which the Cheshire West and Chester Council as Administering Authority for the Cheshire Pension Fund articulates and communicates its actual decision-making processes in relation to managing ongoing employers’ pension costs and risks in the context of their legal and fiduciary relationships with scheme employers..

The Council is obliged to consult with all employers when it revises the FSS and a period of consultation is now open until 24 January 2020.
