Funding Strategy Statement

The Council wishes to consult with employers on the Funding Strategy Statement (FSS) and welcomes any feedback or comments. 

The Funding Strategy Statement (FSS) is the key document through which the Cheshire West and Chester Council as Administering Authority for the Cheshire Pension Fund articulates and communicates its actual decision-making processes in relation to managing ongoing employers’ pension costs and risks in the context of their legal and fiduciary relationships with scheme employers.

The Council is obliged to consult with all employers when it revises the FSS and a period of consultation is now open until 12PM on 27th February 2023.

Please send any comments/queries to PensionsEmployer@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk. The Council will consider all responses and publish a final version of the document by 1st April 2023.
