The situation surrounding COVID-19 is fast moving and Cheshire West and Chester Council would like to assure scheme members and participating employers that measures are already in place so we can continue to pay pensions and administer the Cheshire Pension Fund – the Local Government Pension Scheme in Cheshire.
We are doing everything we can to provide as seamless a service as possible, whilst monitoring the latest advice from the UK Government to manage consequences for our members and staff. In common with other Council office based staff, and reflecting national guidance, the team is now largely working from home. As a consequence we have had to suspend our telephone helpline for the time being.
